Have you ever seen homeless people on the street, then you started to filled up with so many negative stereotypes? have you ever afraid to help them because no body do it?

After you read this article you will have more capability of helping homeless people.

What are the common traits among these jobs?

Help. nurses help patients; teachers help student; government workers help citizen.

Why only help specific people at a specific time?

instead of only give people service, only help people at our working hours, it would be better if we have the willingness to help more kinds of people at various places. Take myself as an example, if my youtube video is about creating friendliness among strangers, shouldnt i also treat my parents more friendly even though i feel so uncomfortable spending time with them? why only treating stranger friendly when making the video?

The second example is that, among the most common “helping people” job like nurses, politician, and teachers, are we really doing our best to help people? are we only helping people who could generate money for us? are these reputational workers “reputational” because we help more people or we have more salary?

Arguments to “people’s ability is limited”

i agree with you , people’s energy and even money is limited. but more than often, what homeless people want is just attention and really just food.

Do you really need to rush home? those relaxing time you chill at home are your busy time ? mostly people simply just close the possibility of helping without even listen to homeless people’s word.( i have a demonstration on spending time with homeless people at my youtube video 2:23)

why do i know it ?

i want to be homeless guy in russia… i act poor, by wearing untidy clothe with one plastic bag and two big backpack on me, meanwhile asking if strangers have food or not

Of course there are always people who would help me, but more than often people would ignore me, even worse escape from me. i felt so hurt when people don’t even listen to what i wanna say, we had eye contact for so long , i asked them “ may i ask you a question” they just walked away.or say “ i’m so sorry i can help you i’m busy”

But once i dressed myself nicely, surprised surprised people do focus on me more… but me is still me, the friendly me…

Arguments to “homeless people are lazy, and only want to buy alcohol”

This is just a excuse of not taking actions, because it’s hardly to tell they are lazier than us or not, we often think, we have more money, we read more books, we have more friend that is the result of our hard work, but very likely that homeless people also do the same hard work as us, but they are not just as lucky as us.

A lot of people like alcohol, and a lot of rich people they spend a lot of time on smoking and alcohol, it’s reasonable that homeless people like it too. It’s not that we have better habit than homeless people, look at yourself, have friends, collegue, or family members who are very lazy and have bad habit?

who need more help ?

Students really need the help from teachers ? are most of the students or teachers paying attention to one another? are government really protecting most people?

On the other hand, most of the homeless people has more difficulties than us, fewer resources. especially when homeless people see dogs having more resources than them, homeless people must feel so uncomfortable.

Arguments to “homeless people should fix their own problem, they made their own shit”

i agree that ultimately, we have our own individual journey. It’s better for us to hold most of our responsibility on every mistake if we wanted to efficiently improve ourselves.

But do we remember those times, when we intentionally making mistakes because we are emotional? didnt we also ask help from our friend and family? if so, why homeless people cant do the same thing as well? And since they dont have that much of resources as we do, they have relatively less choice to ask help.

my personal problem with helping homeless people

@1 : i am not sure if they need help or not:

Take myself as an example, since my russian is not so good yet, sometimes could not understand unclear pronunciation. and often homeless people talks with unclear pronunciation. so when i greet them as i greet to normal people on the street, they would reply me by saying something i completely dont understand, therefore its very hard for me to solve their problem.

Solution: my target should not be solve individual problem, but to collect data from them, understand what made them to be homeless, then solve the fundamental problem, so i should still keep finding people who talk in clear pronunciation .

@ 2:they are not being active:

i am doubting should i give them food or not, because they literally just sit there and to some degree ignore people’s feeling but directly asking

“may i have money from you?”

but what i do is stand up and walk to people, build connection first by introducing myself, show them my talent, ask if they have any problem i could solve then ask if they have some food they could share with me .

solution: i could teach them how to be active, directly demonstrate for them if necessary

in conclusion

why do we have more money than homeless people? because of our hardwork?? REALLY?
